About the round table "Africa: Problems and Development Trends" within the framework of the conference "Inyazov Readings - 2021" at the Moscow State Linguistic University

October 15-16, 2021 on the basis of Moscow State Linguistic University (MSLU) the International Scientific and Practical Conference of the Council of Young Scientists (SMU) MSLU "Inyazov Readings - 2021" .

In total, the conference was attended by 10 employees of the Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IAFR RAS), incl. 9 representatives of the SMU IAfr RAS. K.A. Aleshin , Candidate of Economic Sciences, Senior Researcher, coordinator of the SMU, head of the Applied Research Group, member of the Directorate of the IAFR RAS.

In partnership with the SMU Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences October 15 this year Within the framework of the conference, a round table "Africa: problems and development trends" was organized, in which young scientists from the IAFR RAS, as well as MSLU students from African countries and Russia, took part.

During the speeches, a wide range of reports on African issues was presented, in particular, the following topics were touched upon: peculiarities of the investment climate and financial sphere in the countries of the continent; trade and economic cooperation of African countries with the USSR and Russia; the specifics of the development of the transport sector in Africa; socio-cultural relations of the countries of the continent with India and China; humanitarian and ethnic problems in the Republic of South Africa, etc.

This event aroused great interest among MSLU students, incl. from African countries; contributed to the further build-up of Russian-African humanitarian cooperation along the youth line, as well as to attract the attention of the Russian community of linguists and translators to Africa.
