Participation of IAS RAS staff in the conference “Co-evolution of economic, social, cultural and political systems in countries and regions of the world”
On May 21, 2025, employees of the Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences took part in the interdisciplinary scientific conference “Co-evolution of economic, social, cultural and political systems in countries and regions of the world” held at the MGIMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. Head of the Centre for the Study of Sub-Saharan Africa, PhD in Historical Sciences T.S. Denisova, Leading Researcher of the Centre for North African and African Horn Studies, PhD in Political Science Volodina M.A. and Head of the Centre for North African and African Horn Studies, PhD in Economic Sciences A.A. Tkachenko made presentations, devoted to the evolution of traditional governance and its impact on the social and political development of the states of Tropical Africa, the renewal of the strategy of economic, social and political development of the Arab states in the context of the globalization crisis, and the historical and economic prerequisites of the Western Sahara problem.
