Presidential Election in Côte d'Ivoire in 2025

On October 25, 2025, Côte d'Ivoire held its next presidential election. 83-year-old Alassane Dramane Ouattara was re-elected for a fourth presidential term. He received 89.77% of the vote. Second place among the five candidates declared on the ballot papers was taken by Jean-Louis Billon (businessman, member of the Democratic Party of Côte d'Ivoire, PDCI), who received 3.09%, third place went to former first lady Simone Ehiwet Gbagbo with 2.42%, fourth and fifth place respectively went to Aoua Don Mello with 1.97% (former minister in the government of Laurent Gbagbo from 2000 to 2011, vice-president of BRICS since 2023) and Henriette Lagou with 1.15% (she was already a presidential candidate in the 2015 elections).
