The Republic of Zimbabwe 2010

From April 16 to May 4, 2010, a group of scholars from the Institute for African Studies consisting of Dr. V.G. Shubin, Ph.D. E.V. Kharitonova and junior research fellow A. D. Khamatshin undertook a research in Zimbabwe.

The main purpose of the trip was to study the political and economic conditions for the implementation of investment projects in Zimbabwe.
The Zimbabwean authorities, including Vice-President John Nkomo, has paid much attention to the group. The meetings with heads and scholars of a number of Zimbabwean universities have improved understanding of the situation in the country and prospects of its evolution.
