The monograph is devoted to the study of the processes of transformation of the social structure of the countries of North Africa, the Middle East and the Horn of Africa. Occurring from the middle of the last third of the twentieth century. social changes in the countries under consideration include both evolution, numerical growth or withering away of historically established, traditional social strata, and the emergence of new social communities.
We are talking about the ongoing change of eras in the history of a vast area of the world. Changes in the social appearance of the countries in Africa and the Middle East under consideration bear the imprint of many features and differences of a local and country level. The change in the social appearance of these states has become one of the most important consequences of large-scale transformations in this region and, more broadly, in the globalized world. The main focus of the work is on the analysis of the key factors that determined the change of eras: the increasing influence of the state, private capital in the economy on key spheres of socio-political life, power structures, including the formation of relevant structures and institutions of the three branches of government, on culture, the education system and science, healthcare. Particularly highlighted is the analysis of the role of ethnic and demographic factors.
